Library Card Renewal

Our library cards require renewing every three years. If your card is up for renewal, you can either stop by the library with your ID so we can verify your account information or renew your card online at https://mvlc.org/erenew. To renew online, you will need your card number and your PIN/password.

Viewing Checkouts and Holds

You can view your library account online by logging in on our catalog (dracut.mvlc.org) or by downloading the free MVLC Mobile app for Apple or Android. You will need your library card number and your PIN/password to log in to your account.

You can also check your library account with our automated phone service. To use this service, call 978-683-3175 and then press 2. You will be prompted to enter your library card number, after which you can use the menu to review your current checked out items and check the status of your holds.

Paying Bills

From your account in our catalog or the MVLC Mobile app you can pay your library fines/bills with a credit or debit card. There is a $5.00 minimum for paying with a card.

To pay with cash or check (no minimums), pay in person at the main circulation desk.

Renewing Items

We now have automatic renewals! All eligible items will automatically renew two days before their due date. If you are set to receive library notifications by email, you will receive an email at that time alerting you to which items have been renewed and which are still due by the original due date. If you don’t receive email notifications, you can confirm your due dates in your online account, the MVLC Mobile app, or by calling us at 978-454-5474 or our automated phone service at 978-683-3175.

Requesting Items

You can request items to be transferred from other MVLC libraries and placed on hold for you, or put your name on a waitlist for an item that is at this library but currently checked out or on order. You may choose to pick up the item in Dracut or any other library in the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium. You may also choose to be notified by phone, email, or text. When your item arrives at the Library, you will have 7 days to pick it up. You can request items by speaking with a librarian either in-person or on the phone, or you can request them online in our catalog or mobile app by using the “Place Hold” button.
